Home Use Tests (HUT)
This methodology involves sending new products or trial products to the respondents’ home, having them actually use the product, and obtaining their evaluation of it.
Thanks to the expertise we have accumulated and to our careful respondent management, we control things so that test items are tried out in the correct way. We also provide surveys combining, for example, home use tests and focus group interviews.
Features of Home Use Tests (HUT)
- Evaluation in actual use environmentsThe evaluation results obtained are based on the use of test products under the same conditions as in actual use environments.
- Evaluation in continuous useThe evaluation results obtained are based on the continuous use of test products for a specified duration.
- Careful survey control is required.It is difficult to control all the respondents so that they strictly observe test schedules and the usage of test products. Surveys conducted by this methodology require careful control by giving precise explanation and timely reminders.
